We are again going to have to Stand Up and Protect our rights....
A bill set forth for introduction in the legislature would restrict caregivers to no ore than five patients....News on the front page of Today's Denver Post. I agree with the thought of providing some regulation to the State's Medical Marijuana Program. I do not believe in restricting the rights of patients! I find it quite disturbing that The Legislators would even consider these types of restrictions for patients (5 Patient Limit for Caregivers). We serve numerous patients that do not have means to produce their own medicine. Limiting caregivers to 5 Patients is the best way to shut down the Medical Marijuana Program! We believe that everyone deserves to be educated about the benefits of this Natural Medicine. We communicate with Professionals as well as Middle Class Patients and we believe that everyone of these People want to spend time focusing on their respective professions. Many of my Clients feel that my job as a Caregiver helps them to not have to worry about where to obtain their Medicine. Cannabis is an alternative to Prescription Drugs and Many our citizens are looking at Cannabis as a Medicine that will allow them to Get their life back in perspective.
On the other side of the fence I talk to Many Qualified Patients that go to clinics with medical records in hand to find that they (medical records) were not even checked. There are many Gray Areas and Many Areas of The Law that need to be defined. I believe that the growth of the MMJ Registry shows that there is a HUGE demand for Natural Medicine that is both Effective and Safe. We as a community have the opportunity to Provide this Service to Patients that Have been waiting to treat their bodies Naturally and Legally.....
Tonight the MMJ Community patients, caregivers, concerned citizens and anybody with an opinion should be attending The Public Hearing at the City and County Building. I know nothing about making Laws.... but I do know that from listening to patients, and hearing what is being proposed, that Lawmakers are on a different agenda than the patients of the State of Colorado.
To me this proves that it is the People VS. The State.
